I got a substituion labor under EB3 category. My labor and I-140 are approved now.

I can not file for 485 now because my priority date is in 2003.

I have over 9years of experience in IT. I have a Master's degree (M.Tech). 4 year BE, then 2 year M.Tech. I am on my 7th year extn now.

Is there any way, I can change my category from EB3 to EB2?

Your employer would have to sponsor you for a different job that has a MS requirement.

Change category from EB3 to EB2

Thanks Joe.
To clarify further...does that mean that my employer should sponsor me for MS related job when he renews my H1 (he has to renew my H1 every year).
Once I get my H1 petition (I-797), can he apply for 484 under EB2?

Is that all my employer should do?

u can't change from EB3 to EB2, only from EB2 to EB3
but ur employer can start ur GC all over again.. many have done it with PERM and I-140 approvals very fast these days..this time you can show that you have over 5 years of work exp with Masters which qualifies u for EB2
