My husband and I lived at a rental property in India and when my passport was up for renewal, I used that address. We moved to the US 5 months ago after vacating from this address.
Now I have a Consular Process interview for my Greencard. I emailed the consulate and they specifically want PCC from 'passport and district' office. I do not know how I can obtain PCC for an address I dont live at but which still appears on my passport.
(I understand that the passport should reflect correct address but it really did until I left India and I meant to change the address to that of my parents next time I was in India and had some time.)
The right thing to do at this point would be to get PCC for my parents address and explain my case to the officer at the time of my interview....
Please let me know if anyone else faced this and what you did then. Thanks much. Posts:
