Im confirmed for Dec 7th as well. I will be flying in on Dec 6th and staying at the Westin a block from the embassy.

Hi all,
I too have an appointment the same day.
Any experiences personally or shared through someone can be posted here which can be helpful.
Lot of buzz about 221g.
Any light on it as to how it can be avoided/tackled, time frames is much appreciated.

All this noise about the 221 forms is getting me nervous. I've never had an issue at my previous two stampings in Ottawa but my last one was in 2007 before all this PIMS and 221(g) **** started.

my friend had 221g last month and he waited for few weeks and no response from consulate.he left to India form there.Go through forums and you will find atleast one case per consulate per day on average.Try to avoid if you have chance.

2 days to return passport

Ottawa embassy is now taking 2 days to return passport (NOT nextday) so come prepared to stay 3 nights at hotel.

Hi Deep2000,
Has the 2 days been for everyone that attended on the same day as you or just few.
I see the processing times on their site showing as TWO DAYS too.
Any more inputs?

@anon08,
Everyone who got their visas approved on Nov 2 with me were asked to come on Nov 4 (wednesday). I saw most of the folks when I picked up my passport.
I also saw 2 people getting 221g Blue on Nov 2, dont know the reasons they were given.
