HI,
I applied for H1B transfer on Apr o3, can anyone let me know how long it will take to get the receipt number?
is there any delay because of the new H1B cap?

Hi,

Even I had the same question regarding H1B transfer processing time. Of course, in my case, the company is rethinking about offering me the job becuase their attorney told them that it takes about 10 weeks time to get the visa processed.
I thought you can start working as soon as your petition is submitted to the USICS, even before receiving the receipt. Can some one help?

i submitted H1 tranfer on March 20th, reached USCIS on 21st. Recept date is 28th March. It is premium processing. I got LUD on April 2nd and after that I dont have any information. Looks like even PP is slowed down.

Planning 4 H1 transfer

Hello
I got a offer from a company and planning to do H1 transfer. Is it better to do premium processing and how long it is taking now. Is there any risks if we start working after we get the receipt confirmation. Please advise.thanks in advance.

H1B Transfer under PP April 16th -No Receipt

Documents received by USCIS vermont processing center on April 16th ,no receipt number till today.

You can start working once you send your documents to USCIS but your employment gets terminated immediately if your case gets denied by USCIS.

my spouse's transfer filed on April 23rd too. Since the co is in NYC I think it is VSC and we havent got a receipt yet.

H1 transfer Receive date -april16th 2007,receipt date: may 15th 2007 premium processing

Hi all,
I have received my receipt number today for my H1b transfer which was sent to Vermont processing center on April 16th.

The receipt date is may 15th 2007 and it is filed under Premium processing. I guess they are overwhelmed with the number of petitions filed and are very slow in processing the same. Will keep you updated of my status.

MY employer applied for H1B transfer PP on May 8 2007 to VSC but till now(May 16 2007) I did not get receipt number. Can anyone tell me the USCIS phone number where my employer can call and get the status?

CAn you please kindly post when you receive your approval letter and how long it took you. I am waiting now for ove 2 1/2 weeks and nothing.

I have received the emails form UScis that both my H1 and my wife h4 have been approved.

My lawyer just informed me that VSC sent her an email asking for the most recent paystubs.As the application was sent on april 14th to VSC they have my paystubs till march 31st.but the application was picked up on may 15th ,they wanted the paystubs for the month of april too.I sent her the pdf copies of the paystubs. This is the update on my case, will keep you posted.

if they asked for paystubs it means your lawyer got an RFE so the good news is that your case is very close to being approved (they have picked it up and processed it, instead of it still sitting untouched in a pile). Hope you get your approval soon. Please keep this tracker updated.

With PP you get a special phone number and email ID to contact USCIS. Were you asked to wait till the end of May on that number?

Can you also ask your employer to see if your fees check has been encashed (that might have the receipt number behind it)

pls help

hi,
I am in a very strange situation, I had a job with fortune 100 company and i decided to quit that job as there were layoffs in piple line and company will cancel h1 visa immediately..this is what happeneed


Applied for transfer on 18 april 2007 on PP

Old company send cancellation on mid may (arnd 3 weeek)

transfer was applied on VSC (correct center) and it got shifted to california center on 9 may.

I didn't receive any receipt or anything..Yesterday 29 May attorney told me that they got a notice saying the transfer cannot be approved and i need a new visa number.. they are going to refile for the same as i ddon't require a visa number and mine is not part of quota..

any one facing issues similar to this..any advie thoughts..

Has anyone got confirmation of the receipt upon filing for H1B transfer PREMIUM PROCESSING at VSC? My petition was filed on 27th April H1B non cap case PP at VSC by my employer and so far no receipt yet.

Receipt Dates ..

Is this unusual not getting receipt even after 5 weeks of receiving H1b transfer application..
Looks like its wrong time for h1b tranfsers , with 65k 2008 new quota and 20 k masters quota the processing centers are busy processing 85k new h1b app . now that the lottery system of h1b quota is over the uscis should atleast give out receipts for h1b transfer's . what happens if the older company cancels h1b while the h1b transfer s still in place and didnt receive the receipt? what if the h1b transfer is not approved , can he/she go back to his old company , if he didn't cancel the h1b ?

How to check with the LOD'S if you dont have the receipt notice with the wac /eac no's ?

It's more than a month i am yet to receive receipt notice..

Will it be different each time we apply for transfer or extension , i think the I 94 will be the same with change of valid dates ..

may 12th receipt date..

Any one with may 12th receipt date from vermount got approved[normal processing]. Processing dates as of now [June 16th] is April 02 while other processing centers are showing May 15th?

VSC is very slow.
