Poll Question: I got my h1 approved in oct 2008 and my consultancy cancelled my h1 in july 2009. Then I have applied for f1 status, But unfortunately my case was denied. So I just want to know how to get my status to be in US or what are the options available for me to stay in US Posts:

Typically if an individual is in the United States without authorization, such as a non-citizen whose H1B employment was terminated, they are not eligible for change of status, extension of stay, or change of employer.
Individuals in situations such as these most commonly have to depart the United States and attain a valid visa in order to apply for readmission to the United States.
Of course, every case is different. Seeking the counsel of a competent immigration attorney is advisable. Posts:
