Hey there,

We had our GC interview based from marriage to USC. My I-94 was taken at the interview on Oct 8th. Later that day I received a call from the IO stating that I have to re-submit the I-864. We submitted the updated I-864 2 weeks back but till date we never saw any dates being updated (even after the interview) in my case portfolio for both I-130 and I-485.

I am kind worried that if they even received my updated I-864 though we have the FedEx receipt.

Is this normal to not have the dates updated even after the interview?

In general, the online case status at the USCIS website is a good general tool, but is not always definitive when it comes to actual case status. You may want to schedule an Infopass appointment with the USCIS office at which you interviewed to follow up with the case. You may also want to consult a competent immigration attorney to see if there is anything that can be done to expedite the handling of your case since it has been pending since Oct.

Thanks for the Reply. My case is still pending with no updates for the past 7 months. I've been trying to contact you guys this week through law@murthy.com explaining my case.

Is it possible for an attorney to help speed the process even after all forms have been submitted and the interview being complete?
